Life Affinity Counselling was started by two counsellors with one mission: “Building & Bridging Lives”. With combined experience spanning over a decade, our counsellors believe strongly in enabling positive change within individuals to better themselves and those around them.

Tricial Lim | Counsellor in Singapore

Tricia Lim

Throughout her career as a Marriage Therapist & Counsellor, Tricia has the privilege of journeying with countless couples to overcome their challenges or navigate difficult life transitions including adjustments, parenting and infidelity. Seeing her clients gain breakthroughs in their relationships and find renewed hope for their futures together keeps her motivated and going.

Tricia has also worked with many individual clients - both adults and youths - struggling with a variety of issues involving romantic, social or familial relationships, confidence and emotion handling which typically stem from low self-esteem and self-image. 

Her approach is empathetic, balanced and collaborative, with the aim to provide a safe space for her couple clients to explore their feelings, gain insights to their conflicts and develop skills in conflict resolution, communication and building intimacy and trust for the long haul. For individuals, she works with them to gain insights into their feelings, thoughts, beliefs and behaviours, so that they can gradually develop a healthier sense of self and relationship with others. 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Science  (Professional Counselling), Swinburne University, specialisation in Family Therapy

  • Level 3 Gottman Method of Couple Therapy

  • Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy

  • Certified Gottman Leader of “The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work” Couples Program

  • Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) Practitioner

  • Prepare/Enrich Facilitator

Ruby Lee | Counsellor in Singapore

Ruby Lee

Ruby adopted a career shift after observing the many broken households. Since her training at a family service centre and a community hospital, she has helped many couples and individuals overcome relationship and personal issues, pertaining to communication, infidelity, trust, emotions, esteem, parenting, grief, and life transition challenges.

 

She is warm and empathetic and her MNC background brings cross-cultural understanding of her clients. Coupled with an eclectic approach, clients found healing in deeply-rooted feelings and struggles, overcoming recurring issues and renewing their connection and intimacy.

She is passionate about building and bridging lives. Besides preparing couples for marriage life, she has journeyed with many parents through their struggles with their teens.​

 

After a day of guiding people through their journey to find hope and freedom, nothing gives Ruby more satisfaction than returning home to her 2 children and loving husband.
